Marketing Your Coastal Vacations Call Center Business - Setting Goals
Importance of Setting Goals for Your Coastal Vacations Call Center Business
What is a goal? A goal should clearly define what you are trying to achieve and a timeline by which you are wanting to accomplish it. Your goal should be realistic and achievable, and should be easily measured or quantified. Your goals should be written down and viewed daily, or on a regular basis. The simple act of writing the goal on a piece of paper and looking at it regularly will motivate you and significantly increase the probability of achieving your goal.
You are probably very familiar with the process of writing goals, even if you have never taken the time to set goals for your Coastal Vacations business. I am sure at some point in your life, you have written out the steps required to accomplish a task of some sort. Writing goals for your business is really no different; it is as simple as writing out a grocery list.
In writing your goal, you need to clearly define it; identify where you are going with your business. For example, instead of writing "I plan to spend more time promoting my business", be more specific with something like "My goal is to spend 10 hours per week promoting my Coastal Vacations business". The more detailed goal tells you what you are going to do and for how long you will be doing it.
Once you know what you are going to do and when you want to be there, you need to determine how you are going to get there. This is where 'mini-goals' come in to play. Now you can become more specific by adding "I will spend 30 minutes each day contributing positively to online forums as a way to market my Coastal Vacations business", or "I will add one post per day to my Coastal Vacations blog".
Use your goals to challenge and motivate yourself. Start setting weekly goals for some things you have been meaning to do but keep putting off, such as starting a Coastal Vacations blog and adding to it daily, submitting one press release per week, adding a new message daily to your autoresponder or attending one training call per week.
Setting goals can be fun and rewarding. In fact, you should reward yourself when you accomplish a goal. One way to do this is to give yourself a gold star when you achieve a goal, and treat yourself to a spa day or a new book after you have collected 10 gold stars. The greatest reward you will receive from setting goals, though, is a great sense of accomplishment and achievement as your Coastal Vacations Call Center business becomes a success.
